Also known as Bush Lucerne, this hardy evergreen legume grows 1–2 meters tall and is a powerhouse for soil health.
It features silver-green foliage and bright yellow pea-like flowers that bloom in early spring.
As a nitrogen-fixer, it naturally enriches the earth, making it a functional and beautiful choice for sustainable landscapes and coastal gardens.
The yellow flowers are so bright in early spring. It does get a bit leggy if you don't prune it, but otherwise, it's a very easy-going shrub.
I planted these in a very windy, sandy spot where nothing else would grow. Not only did they survive, but they've improved the soil so much I can finally grow flowers nearby.
